Monastics, smugglers, border posts. In the land of estates, history is visibly present. Three estates each with its own characteristics: Nieuwkerk, D'n Ooievaarsnest and De Hoevens. Fields with traditional crops, a flock of sheep on the heath, stately avenues, vast forests, heathland, marshy meadows and the little stream De Leij meandering peacefully through.

• Start at Klooster Nieuwkerk in Goirle
• The starting point is the nodes of Wandelroutenetwerk Brabant Midden.
• Fascinating on the Regte Heide are the seven Bronze Age burial mounds.
• A great reason to stay here a bit longer.
