Gilze is one of the oldest villages in de Baronie of Breda. In World War II, the village suffered badly because of bombing raids on the nearby German airfield. The church tower was blown up in 1944 and the spire was never rebuilt. This circular walk guides you through the farmlands surrounding the village and through the Chaamse Bossen.
