Liberation Route Gilze-Rijen

The Liberation Route lets you experience what happened in 1944 and 1945 in North Brabant, around Arnhem, Nijmegen and on the Veluwe. The route follows the path taken by the Allies during the liberation of Europe. Seventy-five locations in the wide area contain field boulders, the so-called listening sites. At each listening spot, you can listen to a radio play about the impressive experiences in 1944-1945.

There are three listening posts in the municipality of Gilze and Rijen:
- at the Bisschop de Vetplein (near the well) in Gilze
- at café-eatery 't Vermaeck in Rijen
- at the Stad Parijs restaurant in Hulten
