Since 1971, the Breda Jazz Festival has grown into a major four-day music event for a wide audience. It opens every year on Ascension Day, at 13:00 on Breda's Grote Markt. Four days later, on Sunday evening, the last notes are played.

We will take you on an exciting animal trail walk across the 'steep mountains and deep valleys' of Seters. This walk is specially designed for (grand)parents and children to discover nature and learn about the animals living in the area.

From 10 to 18 May 2025, Vogelbescherming Nederland will organise the National Bird Week for the fourteenth time. During this period, various organisations will offer excursions all over the country. The activities are suitable for young and old, for (beginning) birders and other nature lovers.

The Mollebos Foundation has been organising the Mollebosfist for 36 years. A park festival for and by the inhabitants of Gilze.

On Saturday 23 May, the central square of RCN de Flaasbloem will be filled with local stallholders, fun activities for young & old and, of course, a cosy food corner with delectable snacks.

This year, we will again organise the Children's Day in cooperation with NJBG. On this special day, we mainly organise lots of hands-on activities for children.

The walk takes you past the Ossengoor, which was once used as a meadow, but is now flooded again. Opposite the Ossengoor is a drowned forest, created by humidification of this plot. The walk continues along the historic Geuzen path, about which the guides will tell more.

Gorp de Leij is an area on the heavily meandering Rovertsche Leij. Along the stream are a number of hidden forest meadows that were already used for agriculture in the Middle Ages, using sod from the heath as manure.

On 30 May from 3 pm, Heemkundekring Amalia van Solms is organising a playful walk with 'pastor Van Herdegom'. We will return to the second half of the 17th century.

The area consists of small-scale natural and cultural landscape. Fields and woods alternate with pools, brambles and wooded banks, meadows and wet meadows. Fields do remain. Fortunately, clean seepage water still rises in some places. Deep seepage water is rich in lime, iron and other minerals.

Count on a choice of more than 40 nature, culture and sports activities. For instance, visitors will soon be able to go out and spot bats, dig their own potatoes and make fries. Also get to know different sports or visit an estate.

The Avondvierdaagse in Baarle will be organised for the 61st time in 2026 from 1 to 5 June 2026.

This year the Four Days Marches Rijen will be held from Tuesday 2 June to Friday 5 June.

The TBB Gilze Run is Gilze's premier running event. A sporting celebration for the entire community. Whether you are a seasoned runner or you are taking the plunge for the first time: everyone is welcome at the start.

On Sunday 14 June, the Juin Foundation is organising the 24th edition of Rijen Ruikt: the atmospheric cultural walking and cycling route along special gardens, surprising art, music and all kinds of culture. This year, everything is dedicated to 'enjoying scents and colours' - a theme that promises to stimulate all your senses.

Several choirs perform at our beautiful accommodation. Singing is relaxation for everyone, but singing in a choir is more.

In 2026, it's party time. Lustwarande will be twenty-five years old. From 14 June to 27 September, the fifteenth edition of Lustwarande will take place: MATERIAL WORLDS.

The Midsummer Night Festival Dorst is an annual multi-day celebration in June with activities for all residents of the village. Conviviality and togetherness are paramount. All events and activities organised by the Midsummer Night's Eve Dorst Foundation are designed to be accessible to all generations in the village.

In recent decades, De Hoevens estate has been transformed from an agricultural to a sustainably managed estate where people and nature come together in balance. There are plenty of public footpaths on De Hoevens and the surrounding nature reserves.

The Jaarmarkt Dorst is an annual, nostalgic and Burgundian event that takes place during the village festival.

On 27 June from 3pm, Heemkundekring Amalia van Solms is organising a playful walk with 'Pastor Van Herdegom'. We will return to the second half of the 17th century.

This year will see the 10th edition of the Garage Sale in Alphen. The event will take place on Sunday 28 June from 10 am to 5 pm.

From 3 to 7 July it's that time again: the region's most enjoyable fair will take place in Zondereigen. With live music every evening, surprising after parties and a top atmosphere you don't want to miss.

On 4 and 5 July, Gilze will enjoy beautiful cycling races during the 16th cycling weekend. For two days, riders will provide racing around the Bisschop de Vetplein in the centre of the village.

On Sunday 5 July, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., participants will trek into the area with a camera under the guidance of an IVN guide. Gathering is at 10:00 a.m. in Top Naeffdreef opposite house number 10. There is not much parking, but this way in the city it might also be easy for many to come by bike.

The Summer Festivities attract visitors from both the Netherlands and Belgium and therefore have a lively, international atmosphere. The market is a fine complement to the festivities and invites you to look around and explore the village.

86th Eight of Chaam will be on Wednesday 29 July! The Acht van Chaam is the Netherlands' most famous criterium and is ridden on the Wednesday after the Tour de France in the Noord-Brabant town of Chaam. It is the Netherlands' oldest international cycling race!

It's time again for the annual Jacobushoeve Farmers' Fair! Come and experience a day full of fun, crafts and entertainment on 30 August.

On 1 September 2026, Chamber Choir 'Terpander' will celebrate its 40th anniversary. We will hold the concert in honour of this anniversary on Sunday 8 November in the St.-Remigiuskerk in Baarle-Hertog.
