From the route-makers of Wandelgids Brabant
During this easy forest and heathland walk, you'll first walk through the woods for quite a while and then walk through the valley of the river Leij. Via nice forest paths, you walk through the Riels Hoefke estate and then stroll across the Regte heath. After another stretch through the forest, you pass the beautiful fen Halve Maan. Along the way, there are plenty of benches for a break and you also pass a Maria grotto. There is a lovely terrace at the monastery. Do not walk this route after heavy rain.
Klooster Nieuwkerk Goirle is a unique place. With respect for nature, you can enjoy burgundy in this beautiful monastery and its estate! Walkers and cyclists who pass the monastery every day like to drop in and enjoy a nice bite to eat and a drink.
