Walk almost 14 kilometres through the beautiful countryside around Chaam, just minutes from the Belgian border. We started this winter walk at the Strijbeekse Heide, enjoy the route past country estates, atmospheric beech avenues and quiet farmland. Did you know that this walk was highlighted by the walking association in Wandel.nl magazine? Not surprisingly, because the landscape here colours in a unique way in winter. In the middle of the Brabant countryside, you'll also pass family restaurant Huis Ten Bosch, a lovely place to warm up. It is not for nothing that this route is among the top 8 most beautiful walks of Grensland De Baronie. Highly recommended for those who love peace and quiet, nature and varied paths.

Starting and finishing point of this route is family restaurant Huis Ten Bosch, where we were warmly welcomed by the owner. Huis Ten Bosch is all about togetherness and a homely atmosphere; it is one of those places where you immediately feel welcome. You can also enjoy delicious local dishes. We chose a pancake with stew and a homemade meatball from Boer Jos, both absolutely delicious. A visit to Huis Ten Bosch is therefore highly recommended during this winter walk. It is the perfect place to warm up and enjoy all the goodies Brabant cuisine has to offer.
