From the route-makers of Wandelgids Brabant
On this easy forest and heathland walk, you first walk along a tree-lined avenue to the beautiful fen Halve Maan and stroll for quite some time on the Regte Heide, which is in bloom in August/September. Past some burial mounds, you pass a bench for a break after 5 km of walking. You pass some more pretty fens and then walk past the Land van Nieuwkerk Golf Club. Via forest paths and an avenue of trees you return to the terrace.
The Roovertsche Leij in Goirle is a unique spot, centrally located in a beautiful natural landscape, at Natuurpoort Goirle. From here, your voyage of discovery through unspoilt Brabant countryside begins. Before and after your trips, enjoy freshly prepared regional dishes and refreshing or warming drinks in the restaurant or on the terrace. You can also order no fewer than eight beers on tap from the beer menu!
