Strolling through Grensland De Baronie is the perfect way to relax. This region was part of the mighty Duchy of Brabant with Nassau town Breda at its centre. The Chaamse woods are part of a vast forest area of over 1,300 hectares that runs from Alphen to Breda. Originally planted by the state as a production forest for industrial timber for the coal mines in Limburg. Now the 'pine forest' is being enriched with deciduous trees and open plains are emerging. A great variety of forests, clearings, meadows and beautiful views is the result!
