Baarle is characterised by a varied landscape of woodlands, extensive farmland, arable fields and the beautiful stream valley of 't Merkske. Here, the stream meanders through a gently undulating landscape of pools, small grasslands and rijen of trees. You come across a number of pretty old farms in the area. The Beemden, or also known as hay fields, are also unique and offer you a beautiful setting for a lovely bike ride (50 km) through this nature reserve.
