De Hoevens country estate walk
Discover the extraordinary De Hoevens estate that is normally hidden from the public.
Walk with IVN Tilburg on Sunday 21 June (please note this is a new date) from 10:00 to 13:00. We will gather at the Nature Cemetery car park, Goorstraat 5a, 5131RG Alphen.
In recent decades, De Hoevens estate has been transformed from an agricultural to a sustainably managed estate where people and nature come together in balance. There are plenty of public footpaths on De Hoevens and the surrounding nature areas. But there are also areas of nature that can only be entered with an IVN guide.
During this walk, the guide will take you to the catchment area of the Oude Leij, which has been allowed to meander again for several years. During the walk, the guide will tell you all about the unique flora and fauna of De Hoevens.
Apart from the cemetery, De Hoevens is not normally open to the public. So grab your chance at this organised walk of no less than 3 hours to explore the area.
