Between Grass and Glass, Den Bud in Meersel-Dreef
Natuurpunt Markvallei is organising a series of walks with the theme "Between grass and glass". Each month, a walk departs from a catering establishment along a nearby nature reserve and is led by a nature guide from the association. The walks are organised on the first Sunday of each month and are spread across the municipalities of Baarle, Rijkevorsel and Hoogstraten. The aim of these walks is to introduce participants to a nature area and nature in their surroundings in a pleasant way. And what could be more pleasant than a completely informal end on a terrace?
On Sunday, 2 June, we will descend on Meersel-Dreef, and where better to be than at Café Den Bud? Immerse yourself in the beauty of het Markdal as we enjoy together the natural splendour and historical treasures this region has to offer. The guide will accompany participants along the Mark River. The route will lead us to the historic water mill. The guide will dwell on the origins and importance of this historic site. As icing on the cake, we will explore the Eyssel vloeibeemden. This unique nature reserve houses remnants of a construction that made it possible to irrigate these grasslands with silty water from the river Mark. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a bottle of water.
The walk will last about 2.5 hours. We look forward to welcoming you on 2 June at 14:00 at café Den Bud in Meersel-Dreef. Together we will explore "Between grass and glass"! For more information, please visit our website or contact Natuurpunt Markvallei.
