‘De Blikken Buik’ is a project by Escape 2300 and the Baarle Cultural Centre. In an escape room, you have to solve riddles and puzzles to escape and get back outside as quickly as possible. This outdoor activity is based on that concept. You aren’t locked in, but you’ll solve various riddles and puzzles during a surprising walk through the centre of Baarle.

No border without smuggling … the start of a thrilling game of cat and mouse between smugglers and customs officers. Smuggling became a matter of the utmost seriousness, particularly during the war years. Now, the participants’ mission – as smugglers – is to smuggle goods such as paraffin, butter, lemonade, … across the border.

Fancy playing ‘De Blikken Buik’ with family or friends? You can book the escape room experience for 10 euros per group. You can take part from 1 July until the end of August.

The escape activity starts and ends at the cultural centre.

The walking distance is 3 km, making it ideal for a variety of groups.
