Until 17 March 2024, Museum De Looierij presents "Belle Esposito". In this inspiring exhibition, you will be introduced to two artists who share a common ground, namely 'working with leather'. It has therefore resulted in a sightseeing exhibition with impressions of artful leather.

The artists
Patrizia Esposito, makes leather masks. The masks are made in the old artisanal way, as people did back in the 16th century. Her starting point is to create her own, new characters through leather half-masks, which she makes and uses herself. She uses vegetable-tanned leather.

Carla van Belle, besides felting, has the most affinity for Eco-printing on leather. It is a contact printing technique. Leaves containing the natural tannin, such as the leaves of oak, walnut or eucalyptus, are suitable for being printed on fabric or leather.

When to see.
The exhibition is free to see from Wednesday to Sunday during opening hours from 13:00-17:00.
