AWN Midden Brabant is organising a walk through the Regte Heide in Riel, including a visit to the remarkable burial mounds. The meeting point is Brabants Landschap’s new field shed, near the farm. That afternoon, information will be available here, there will be archaeological activities for young children, and participants will be divided into groups to view the archaeological monuments under the guidance of a guide.
Please note: the road ‘Het Hoefke’ is quite narrow and is a dead-end street. There is no car parking at Het Hoefke 6 (though there is space for bicycles). Those arriving by car can park on the verge along the earlier section of Het Hoefke, alongside the woods and before the right-hand bend. For cyclists coming from Tilburg, we have mapped out a route, the description of which can be found below. You can print this out or view it on your mobile screen, but you can also cycle this route at another time. Please pay close attention not only to the route description but also to the traffic. You cycle at your own risk, of course; anyone coming by car or cycling from elsewhere should find their own route. The route described is just under 20 kilometres in total.
