Open Monuments Day in de Baronie
On 9 and 10 September, there will again be the national Open Monuments Day. The theme this year is 'Living Heritage'. Lots of monuments can be visited for free on Saturday and/or Sunday, and there are also many extra activities. Please note: for some activities, you need to register in advance.
Alphen-Chaam and Baarle-Nassau
On 10 September, a special cycle route has been set out along the estates in cooperation with the municipality of Breda. Take a look at the special estates Anneville, Hondsdonk Luchtenburg and Valkenberg. There are all kinds of activities to do around the estates. The route is open from 11:00 to 17:00.
Please note: The estates Valkenberg and Hondsdonk are only part of the cycle route. The estates themselves are closed to the public. Various activities are available at Anneville and Luchtenburg.

A packed programme, of course. From an Archaeology Walk to the De Nieuwe Mark project. On Sunday 10 September, something new will take place: the Living Statues Festival. Famous Breda stories, often referring to iconic monuments such as the Great Church or Breda Castle, are artfully reinforced by these living statues.

Oosterhout
For the second year in a row, the gates at the Slotbosse Toren will open again for two days. Demonstrations, workshops, noble knights, archers and div. crafts can be seen around the castle ruins. On Sunday 10 September, the Stichting Oosterhoutse Fietsdagen organises, together with Open Monumentendag, another pleasant bicycle tour along a number of monuments and studios in the region.
