Open Monuments Days Breda
Open Monuments Day
Perhaps the best-kept secret in Dutch history: the Royal Family's roots are in Brabant. To be precise, in Breda. There, 600 years ago, a wealthy girl married a German count: Johanna and Engelbrecht. In Breda and its surroundings, you will find many traces of the Nassau family. Discover impressive buildings, ancient forests, special locations and contemporary artworks. And of course: the unique eye tiles from Breda Castle! During the weekend of 9 and 10 September, well-known and unknown buildings from the time of the Breda Nassaus open their doors. Throughout Breda you will travel back to these times.
