The Trippelenberg has been an inhabited area since the Middle Ages; today the farm the Prinsenhoef is still there. It is a beautiful area with stately lanes and pretty sandy paths. The walk goes along the meandering Aa or Weerijs, the small river with its source in Belgium and which flows into Breda's Singel. In 2005, the Water Board tackled and redesigned this stream valley, aiming to prevent flooding in the city. Still, boots are sometimes needed here for walkers to walk with dry feet through the interesting stream valley and forest.
