On Sunday 12 November, guides from IVN Mark & Donge will walk through nature in the valley of the Aa or Weerijs river. On this long walk of about 20 km, they will follow the water from Rijsbergen to Zundert and back. The theme of the walk is: new layout Weerijs. In the period 2007-2017, work was carried out to redesign the Weerijs-Zuid area. In the area, the existing walking, cycling and bridle paths were refurbished and extended, while new paths were constructed.

Connecting natural areas has created an elongated varied landscape with old forest plots, open landscapes and meadows. The vastness of the valley allows plants and animals to move and develop. Along the way, we hope to see water birds and plants in the water of the Weerijs. Please note: the paths can be boggy and bumpy, adapted shoes, rainwear and a packed lunch are recommended.

If you want to join the walk on Sunday 12 November, you must register in advance using the button below. You will then receive a confirmation via e-mail containing the start location. This landscape walk starts at 10am and lasts until around 4pm.
