The impact of peat extraction on our landscape has been very great, especially just across the border. That impact became clear during the presentation of the photo book on nature in the Breda Barony. Following the presentation of the book in the Klapekster, guest speaker Hans Van Engen was called to the microphone. Hans is a landscape architect and has studied the origins of landscapes, among other things. This provided surprising insights, to say the least, and during his talk, the fascinating account raised a lot of questions that led to a fascinating conversation with a lot of interaction.
