IVN walks along during Rijen Ruikt
On Sunday 15 June, the nature guides of IVN Mark & Donge walk in the flowery Park Wolfsweide in Rijen.
On 15 June, the Juin Foundation is organising Rijen Ruikt for the 23rd time, a cultural walking and cycling route along beautiful and special gardens with art, music and culture in Rijen, Molenschot, Hulten and Gilze. This is an annual event focusing on connecting, meeting and inspiring.
For the first time, there is a cross-pollination between Rijen Ruikt and IVN Mark & Donge. This year's theme is 'The fragrant festival of colours'. IVN nature guides will take you on a walk of up to one hour in Park Wolfsweide. Topics covered include the history of the area's origins and fish ponds, trees and shrubs, flowering plants and aquatic life.
It promises to be a fragrant, colourful and interesting walk.
There will be a stall at the starting point where you can find information about IVN and materials about plants and animals. There will also be a route map available for participants in Rijen Ruikt. You can also download this from the site of the Juin foundation www.juin.nl
Registration for these walks is not necessary!
The walks start at three times namely at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
The starting point is at the end of Korte Rekken where the car or bike can be parked.
A map of the starting point can be found on the IVN Mark & Donge website under Activities.
