IVN Mark & Donge | Nature walk Liesbos
Long avenues, long necks
IVN Dintel and Marklanden and IVN Mark and Donge join hands and organise this walk through the Liesbos together.
History
The 'bossce of Lies' is mentioned as early as 1268.
Characteristic of the Liesbos are the monumental lanes.
These lanes were constructed in the seventeenth century for the noble owners' hunting purposes.
The wide avenues allowed the hunting procession to move comfortably and quickly through the forest.
