IVN Landscape walk Chaam - Baarle-Nassau
On Sunday 5 October, the nature guides of IVN Mark & Donge will take a long walk with the theme: the southerly the sweeter, the older the more beautiful.
This walk is new in two respects: the route has not been walked before and because October is history month, attention is given to the botanical history of Chaam. This was recorded by Bernard Walrecht, who wrote an article in 1936 about his observations around Chaam. He found numerous rare species. Do we find any of them?
A landscape walk is different in character from our usual nature walks. The length is 15 to 20 km, which means we walk briskly and look a little less at details. It will not be a march, we do take time to stop here and there and enjoy natural phenomena that come our way.
The walk takes us from Chaam to Baarle-Nassau and then along Ulicoten back to Chaam. We walk alternately through woods, fields and along streams.
Registration is possible until the day of the walk. After registration, you will receive information about the departure point.
The walk starts at 10:00 and lasts until about 16:00.
More information and the registration form can be found on the IVN Mark & Donge website under Activities.
