The ups and downs of 40 years of cultural heritage in Dongen.
Lucky we still have the pictures... On the ups and downs of 40 years of cultural heritage in Dongen. Do you find this interesting? Then come to the Cammeleur in Dongen on Monday 22 November. Walk-in from 7.15pm.
Due to the tightened measures around corona, the programme has been adjusted. After 8pm, the catering facilities in the Cammeleur are closed. The evening will therefore start with a walk-in from 19.15, when you can get a cup of coffee. The photo presentation by Ad Hessels will be scheduled at a later date, for this evening we have planned a golden oldie; namely the photo presentation by Ranko Hamelink 'Fortunately we still have the photos'. There will be no break during the lecture.
The disappearance of beautiful buildings in the post-war period was one of the reasons for founding Heemkundekring De Heerlyckheit Dongen. Part of the association's aim is to work to preserve our cultural-historical heritage, which is under increasing pressure. On the basis of photographs, we look back at what disappeared under the demolition hammer during the association's existence, but also where threatened heritage was preserved, whether or not with the efforts of local history experts.
With regard to corona, the following measures apply to the reading at the Cammeleur:
- A face mask is compulsory throughout the building. After checking CTB, the mouth mask may be taken off.
- CTB (Corona Access Proof) is checked (a paper QR code or your code on your phone).
Entrance for members is free, for non-members €2.
