Family walk Seterse Bergen
Animal trail tour
We will take you on an exciting animal trail over the "steep mountains and deep valleys" of Seters. This walk is specially designed for (grand)parents and children to discover nature and learn about the animals living in the area.
Wonderful world
In Dutch forests, too, you can come face to face with a lion, and an ant lion at that. You can find beautifully woven nests of reed or pipe straw, but also wonderfully soft nests of moss. We will investigate which animals inhabit them. Could there also be animals that live in a flat like humans? We will look for places where deer slept and try to find the hairs they left behind. Do you know how hazelnuts and pine cones tell you which animals have been snacking on them? To find the wood ant nest, we follow the ant trails. Did you know there are little butterflies that can make a turn in a tree? Do you have any idea what leaf rollers, resin beetles, bark beetles and turd rollers are? Come investigate with us and find the answers to these questions.
Children very welcome
It will be an instructive and fun afternoon for young and old! A little surprise awaits the children afterwards. They are very welcome with their parents/carers.
Registration for this walk is mandatory and can be done here. Registration is possible until the day of the walk.
