On Monday 10 April next (2nd Easter Day), the Streekmuseum in Alphen is organising a fun afternoon programme called "Art or Kitsch?" from 13.30 to 16.30h. Based on objects you bring from home, experts will tell you about their origin, value and history. Is the old coin you found with your metal detector just a nickel or was this coin already used by the Romans? Is the porcelain cup from the ancient Chinese empire or is it fake? Is grandma's painting really worth that much or is it mainly of high emotional value? The answers will be given by six experts, each with their own speciality. Come along with your things or come empty-handed and listen to the stories about the origin of the valuable items you brought along. Is it Art or Kitsch?
