De Smokkelaar is located in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve with forests, heathland and fens. An excellent location for walkers, cyclists and riders to have a drink or a meal in this beautifully renovated farmhouse from 1936. There is ample parking, the building is wheelchair accessible and offers many facilities. Outside is a beautiful terrace, picnic benches, a playing field and various animals such as pigs, goats, chickens and sheep. De Smokkelaar also has a friendly and cosy atmosphere in the evening, with the fireplace lit in winter.
