A picture! That's Bouvigne Castle on this estate of the same name, located south of Breda. It is a sought-after photo location for good reason. The castle first appeared in books in the 15th century, but is possibly even older. On the estate you will also find a chapel, the coach house and the Hof van Bouvigne (headquarters of the Brabantse Delta water board). Surrounding the castle are three beautiful country gardens: one French, one English and one German. Remarkable are the many varieties of fuchsias and the special sculpture collection. On the south side of the estate, the seventeenth-century orchard has been recreated.
The gardens can be visited free of charge from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, the buildings are not accessible.
You can park your car in the car park in front of the main office (car park P1) from 8am to sunset.
