The Dutch town of Baarle-Nassau and the Belgian town of Baarle-Hertog, together with Hoogstraten and Merksplas, form de Grensvallei ‘t Merkske de Grensvallei: a small, green region on either side of the Belgian-Dutch border. ‘t Merkske is a tributary of the River Mark and creates some stunning scenery. The presence of this stream has given rise to a unique diversity of species. Go for a walk or a cycle and discover this green valley.
