On Sunday 20 February, the nature guides of IVN Mark & Donge will walk through the Dorstse woods in search of silence. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and experience a quieter world as soon as you walk into the woods. Your senses will be on edge: hear the drumming woodpecker, listen to the crunch of leaves under your feet. Gusts of wind blow, you see the dark clouds in the distance, you feel a few splashes of rain on your face. A moment later, the sun warms your body and you breathe deeply the fragrant forest air. Whatever the weather, our guides will let you enjoy the varied landscape of forests, sand hills and loam pits full of water. The core area is now a rest area, where only walkers without dogs are allowed. It has recently been grazed by eight Galloways, quiet cattle without horns. Here, in this grazing area, we hope to find silence.
