On Sunday 14 April, nature guides from IVN Mark and Donge will take a longer 8-9 km walk through the estates Hondsdonk and Valkenberg.

The estates consist of mixed woodland interspersed with arable fields and pastures, featuring avenues of beech and oak trees. Due to variations in elevation and soil conditions, there are both dry and wet areas.

The theme of this walk is: ancient woodlands and spring flora. The stream valley woodlands boast a rich variety of plant life and are considered among the most important in the country in terms of flora. Thanks to the variety of vegetation and the many old trees, it is also an area rich in birdlife. Several meandering watercourses run through the area. This walk covers a greater distance and is at a faster pace than most IVN activities.
