Practical info
The land of Mark & Merkske,is the basin of the river Mark and its tributaries( Merkske, Noordermark,...) and also a nature reserve, in some places it even forms the natural border between Belgium and the Netherlands.
The walk2daagse crosses this catchment area and nature reserve for a large part, walking along quiet paths through the catchment area and nature reserve, on both sides of the border.
Saturday and Sunday are different courses,
on Saturday, walk through the Graafsbos towards the north of Belgium (Dutch border )
on Sunday explore Merksplas, as well as Merksplas Kolonie (besides the beautiful nature, Merksplas Kolonie also has a lot of cultural heritage to admire)
